Today when I am reading TDS book, and I have a idea about TDS network deployment. Thus, I write down and share with you.

As we all know this fact that the small applications,such as, voice call,sms,ems etc.. which are more suitable carried by CDMA. And for higher ratio applications, such as, video stream, multimedia etc.. which are more suitable done by TDMA.  

For TD-SCDMA system, it has a characteristic of code-limited, which means the generated interference could be tolerated even after the all codes are assigned by system. But CDMA is normally interferencee limited system. (I think TDS is more similar with GSM's TDMA not CDMA system).

So, if we design a basestation device which have two parts: one CDMA part and another TDMA part. or one carrier for WCDMA which carry system common information,such as, BCH,synchronization,accessing channel etc.), and one or more TDS's carriers act a resource pool.

When small or low data rate services, RNC could assign it on WCDMA's carrier. If high rate services, one TDS's carrier could be allocated.
